十 - Ten
A lone stick stands tall at a festival stall.
Someone lays down One more stroke across it-suddenly it’s a glowing 十, the cross of “ten.”
Kids shout “じゅう!” as carp streamers flap for May 5th (Children’s Day), each fish cheering “Go-go-go!”-five plus five makes ten.
Remember: a stick, a one, and the shining cross together = 十, the number that seals completeness.
