欺 - Deceit
At a summer matsuri, a shining rocket float rolls past-painted like a crab, villagers call it “the scoop that reaches the sky.”
Beside it, a dancer yawns wide in a comic mask, acting out Lack with exaggerated open-mouth gestures, the crowd laughing at his “欠けた” (missing) teeth.
But when the priest declares the float vanished overnight, everyone gasps-was it stolen, or just clever stagecraft? That blur between festival wonder and trickery becomes the face of Deceit.
